Teases. Teases? Teases!

That's a Weekapaug jam in the 4/1/16 ETS, no doubt.
-
@RadiantDarkness wow I just realized that I meant Reba not Slave, for some reason Slave was on my mind when I was typing that. But yeah, to me that segment sounds like the end of your typical Reba jam. That definitely does not sound like Slave haha.
-
@RadiantDarkness I've got an example of a clear as day, legit, Phish tease. Check out Funkadelic from 10/27/12 @ the Lizard Lounge. At about 4:10 in the track there's an undeniable First Tube tease.

It definitely "sounds" like it. I don't think we will be adding something like that to the setlist on here though. Always room for discussion, of course.

Added. Doesn't really need discussion

I mean I would say it would take a pretty conscious decision by the band to play a jam that similar to the standard Reba peak. You could probably take the section from 11:50 to 14:06 and play it for anyone who likes phish and they would assume it was a band covering Reba. Not sure if you would call that a tease or jam or what, but I definitely don't think it was coincidental that the jam ended up sounding like that. Just my opinion of course and hopefully some more people will weigh in.

Brian definitely hones in on some Trey tone and hits a Reba-ish peak. I'm just not sure we want to start labeling all their jams Phish. I asked @Andrew-Hilston to weigh in as Reba is his favorite song.
-
Yeah that's understandable, you definitely have to draw the line somewhere. To me at least, Brian and red especially give it the reba sound, but I might just be hearing things haha.
-
That jam has a Reba feel to it, but I wouldn't call it a tease. jordan isn't playing that signature Reba jam bass line and it has a different pacing to it. Sick jam tho!
Also, I'm voting no on weekapaug. The beat/tempo of ETS is similar but the riffs are definitely different and the jams are always way different I'd say. Love em both tho!

2015-09-05 2nd Postman at 1:15 Red teases Red's Jam2015-03-08 Weasel has been updated. I just added it as "Red's Jam (Red)" for now because he plays from 7 minutes all the way to palisades. Similar to the 12-31-14 first appearance of Red's Jam
Solid find! Another instance of Red playing Red's Jam before it became a "song"

2015-09-05 2nd Postman at 1:15 Red teases Red's Jam2015-09-05 is definitely more subtle, but it's there for more than a single phrase. I added a Red's Jam tease (Red) for the 2nd Postman
Another great find as we still have the "debut" of the song as a standalone the following day. I oddly never downloaded nor listened to this show so listening now.

2016-04-07 ETS at 10:34 I'm pretty sure Brian is teasing one of his parts from Weasel, not sure if it's enough to count though
-
@damian I actually had an email conversation with Charlie Dirksen about this. He agrees with it going back into Tweezer, or at least a Tweezer jam, but changes to Phish.net setlists require agreement by a small group of .net "executives". He was never able to get a majority vote in his favor. It was a pretty interesting back and forth with him for a little bit.

Undeniable "Slave Jam" in The Remedy.
ETS should be ETS > Alternate Ending.

Nailed it! Brian plays it for a good 20 seconds.

Also they transition into Moma Dance around 8:25 of Wolfman's Brother -
@myanruth there was a Story of the Ghost tease by Brian in Wolfman's Brother at around 11:00, maybe earlier too.
Also, I was hoping that Inspector Gadget tease would turn into Space Gadget.
-
@phokus Did you mean Moma Dance? For some reason I skipped over this track when I listened to the show, but I'm listening to the Wolfman's now, and they pretty clearly go into Moma for awhile but I'm not hearing ghost
-
@myanruth it may well be, I've not listened to The Phish is a while.
