NUGS Must Listen Shows - Best of Spafford on Nugs
-
-
@Cody mah man, thanks!
-
Havent listened yet but just looking at that 2-12-17 setlist ...oh baby
Set 1
It's A Bunch, The Postman > Todd's Tots, Hollywood > The Reprise > Leave The Light On > The Postman, Virtual Bean Dip > Palisades > Leave The Light OnEncore
Into The MysticThats going right to the top of the list
-
That Hollywood > Reprise > etc is one of my favorite Spafford segments ever, you think that Hollywood is going to end as normal and then bam they just keep it going!
-
@dontjudgedave @Cody I love that show. Attendance bias aside, I think it's one of the best flowing sets from that tour.
-
Its confirmed - 2/12/17 FUCKS
Was just as good to hear as it is on paper, really great flow to the set. Anyone got some more recs that weave around through songs like that?
I really dont link the Biscuits but they are great at keeping setlists interesting, I'd love to see more Spafford sets that flow around like that
-
Bump for new additions:) I'll start:
-
@Mike's-Unchained Really disappointed by the mix on that one I went to listen to it but changed it to something else because I couldn't hear Jordan at all
-
@Cody no love for bb kings? peach?
-
@itsAndyBoy BB Kings isn't in nugs, and Peach is on the list!
-
I'm going to add a bunch of the responses that came from the facebook group. Since this question recycles so frequently we should do our best to keep this up. Hopefully people will contribute here too as this becomes a resource.

@dontjudgedave would you be able to update the OP with my list and these ones that @damian added? That way they are in a central location! This is a super common question too so it's nice to direct people here.

@Cody can we add the show headlines to your list before @dontjudgedave updates? Can we list them the same way I did in the post before?

Thatβs too bad. I played with the EQ on my home system and it sounds excellent.

Updated the OP to include both lists with the links

What, no love for https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2018-03-05???
That show will be talked about for years. The jamming throughout, even during the Mind's Unchained, is so patient. Sometimes intense while other times just plain beautiful.
Also forgot these from 2017:
https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2017-11-02
https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2017-11-15These were some of my most repeated listens from fall (even more than Halloween and Fort Collins). Dig in.

We've definitely talked about it on Facebook but I dont think here. Overall, I am definitely let down by the nugs soundboards - I've got the subscription so its great to be able to hear them so quick now but I think some of them the mix is a bit off and almost all of them are very quiet with some worse than others - that Crystal Bay 3/5/18 show being a good example, very quiet and bass gets kind of lost in the mix.
I think it started in the Fall last year, I am not sure what changed - my Asbury 2017 download sounds great - good mix, good volume, and I'm pretty sure it was available 2-3 days after the show. Compared to the SBD from Asbury 2018 its crazy - volume drops and the mix gets muddy, vocals can be a little low too. Im still pumped to get the releases but would love them getting a little better treatment even if it means we need to wait longer to get them

I thought so...its pretty apparent. I too have every Nugs release in 24bit and it sounds like their board is not set right. Thank God for quality EQs and well made amps and pre-amps for they helped out a bit.
