Raleigh Backdoor Funk. Noteworthy for two very distinct jams. Firey bolts of Moss occur multiple times in this version. 🀘🏻

I was going to also mention BDF after relistening to it. Definitely top notch stuff. Raleigh was worth the wait.

Safe to add 3/5 VBD>LTLO to the list. I won't do it the injustice of putting words to it. It's an experience everyone should enjoy in the raw.

@RadiantDarkness Completely agree. That first set in Tahoe 3/5 was completely locked in. Exquisite jams.

Since I was there, I am quite confident to say the 1hr Jam to start 3/15 should be on everyone's list the moment a recording is available.

@RadiantDarkness Can't wait to catch that one! Liking the fact that these 40-50+ min jams are becoming more and more common.

Sidenote: Have they all happened on weeknights? If so, time to quit my job and switch to working weekends!

the VBD from the SoHo on March 1 is especially excellent and I think the 2nd set from the Feb 28 show in Solana Beach is one of the best of the year so far, very heartfelt. That Bee jam inside All My Friends and Postman is heavenly; a perfect Light ends the show in style.

Red’s Jam to open 3/11 is gorgeous. Flows nicely into a great ETS as well.

Walls from https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2018-03-07 goes deep. Loving this version that segues like butter into BDF. Word is it they teased Made for Wesley in it too.

For those of you on APL and RED I started a collage on each site with the "essential Spafford Shows from Nugs.Net" from the discussions here at Spaffnerds and Facebook sites.
I'll be keeping an eye here to see what all around/A to Z dynamite shows you guys are raving about so I can add to the lists along the way,so thank you very much.
I added 3-15 almost on the opening jam alone but the rest of the show is on a very high level as well...so it's a winner.
                      peace.

@GeorgeBailey I was lucky enough to hear that sequence this morning. I LOVE when they put a set together like that. I mean seriously...

                          Red's Jam>ETS>Dis Go>ETS>Postman!#$

IMO, the post ETS jam is what makes Spafford>everyone else.

If I've gotta have one show from '18 so far, which one should I grab? Will be grabbing the SBD from nugs..

                                3/15/18 imo

Old Town Jam basically has all the 2018 jams meshed together into one cohesive monster. 57 minutes of straight Improv that is mind blowing from start to finish. That one track alone is worth $10 and then you have an entire set 2 that is filled with overflow from the energy the 1st set spawned. If the two sets weren't enough, the 14 minute BDF encore also has a tremendous explosion in it.

I would recommend the streaming service, it's costs about the same as a show per month and you get all of it! It's SO hard to choose just one.

From Frisco: People, Aerplane, Remedy, get my vote for outstanding versions of each. Soil, I would have to listen to some of the other recent versions to know if this is a standout or if it's just how weird it gets.

Weird how lately I bypass every song under 15 minutes if I'm not listening to the whole show...must have something to do with these 55 minute jams they're dropping left and right. But, the 11:23 Ain't That Wrong from Pittsburgh 1/17 is quite enjoyable.
