Teases. Teases? Teases!

Last night Memphis in the Meantime had in the front, including myself, thinking they were about to play Possum or Back on the Train ... so dope
-
I love & appreciate all the precise work and added notes you all are adding to the setlist and show notes areas. As an old 80's Head I used to be the same on the road jotting down how many and where Jer / Trey would poke in their solos and variations,as well as lyric changes.
Much appreesh,Much love.

@RadiantDarkness check out the Phonebooth from Raleigh. At 10:02 on the nugs track Brian plays a Walls-like lick and Red follows along. It's not quite Walls... but...

@RadiantDarkness First, thanks for taking on this daunting task! Second, have you considered adding show notes to the set lists when songs are covers, and noting the original artists?

The info is in the system, it's just not shown. But the question of showing it is one for @damian

The Old Town Jam from Steamboat Sprigns, 3/15/18.
Around 38:00 they begin playing a theme that sounds just like Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill". They jam on this theme for a couple of minutes. -

Oh man... this is always a tough one. I'm personally inclined NOT to state that it's a cover each time it is played, but I could easily be outvoted if the community wanted to see it that way. I could even imagine putting a personalization option in to support YOU deciding that you wanted it that way or not.
With that said, I'd really like to add more info on the setlist page. I'd like the show's notes to be there and I'd love to get it to the point where mousing over a song got you more info about it. But we've got bigger, more fundamental parts of the system that we need to finish shoring up.
I keep saying, "Bear with me..." when people make feature requests. There are a bunch of guys in the inner circle that know how much I work on this and know how passionate I am about getting it right. I promise you that the site is under serious active development and new features are coming. All I can ask is that you are patient and understanding. Pretty much everything you see on the spaffbase was built by me, working in my 'free' time. The forum is an off the shelf product but the rest is custom built.
-
@damian you're appreciated, errytime I fire up the site
-
@jimbo Thanks man
-
@damian And what a custom build it is, really appreciate all you do man! What a difference it makes having this resource available.
Wow, love the idea of a personalized setlist display, getting fancy. I also like the idea of adding more info to the setlist (first time played, long show gaps, etc.). Thanks again and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help!
-
Not that anyone is in disbelief, but an illustration of @damian ās dedication is the fact that I get texts from him regarding SpaffNerds business in early morning hours when I have no business being awake. And Iām three hours in the future on the East Coast

Just a quick note on my first listen, I heard a slip and squander tease in BDF from 3/17/18

Just listened back to WP for the first time and heard it. It's a full 9 minutes before the segue. Added to setlist.

dude...that's a great catch. it's really slow but it's there! This ain't no fooling around!
The jam is kinda based on it for a bit too! I hear Jordan knocking it for a few. It's added
-
@RadiantDarkness Awesome! One of my first tease catches! Lol. I like how you did (Red) on that, maybe we should start adopting that for all the teases, similar to how JRAD does their teases, Slip & Squander Tease (RJ), (BM), (JF), etc.

I'm trying my best to hear it...but I'm not hearing it. Anyone else want to vouch?

Terrapin N1 the slight moment in between American>On Fire, Cam hits the opening 3 cracks to The Reprise...on the nugs recording, you can play the opening 2 seconds of On Fire or The Reprise and they are the same.
I'm adding it now for On Fire as "The Reprise Tease (Cam)" but am opening the discussion if we want to label this "The Reprise Fakeout (Cam)" instead. They've done similar fakeouts with the Reprise before. Last fakeout I can remember off the top of my head was Phish - Mike's Song to start Bluebird 2017. We have that labeled as "Mike's Song Fake Out"
