Spafford Festival

After spending the weekend at moe.down and seeing the recent L4LM interview it kind of got me thinking about how much I would love a Spafford Festival.
What would you nerds like to see from a Spafford festival? Personally, all I can ask for is 7 sets of Spafford, my fellow nerds, and a place to camp.

I saw mention of that in the article too. It would be amazing to see a winter festival here in AZ. It would be cool too to create something that can power the up and coming bands in the Southwest. I know one of Spafford's challenges has been where they come from. On one hand, they stand out on the national scene as NOT being from Brooklyn. On the other hand... there isn't a machine to help propel new talent forward. I'd love to see Spafford's festival be the start of something for the region.
Also... a ferris wheel. Because... they're awesome.

@damian Definitely would love to see it as platform to help showcase other regional music. I know that is how moe.down used to be when it first started, a huge focus on moe. with a handful of up and coming bands from the North East. Granted most bands were already somewhat known just cause that's the scene out there, but it would be really cool to see Spafford foster some lesser known bands from the West.

@Chris-Ogor-Lopez At least 2 sets of Spaff per day. Camping. VIP offerings. No over-lapping sets. Music until the early hours. Make sure people keep the place clean (stress no cig butts on the ground, recycling, etc...) Spafford can (if not, soon) bring out enough people for something similar to Domefest (Pigeons Playing Ping Pong) or what was Catskill Chill. A few thousand people. Add a few more bands that people want to see. Pigeons also does an undercover set at Dome, where they cover a band for an entire set. It was Phish/Dead this year and awesome. I think tons of Nerds would be willing to travel to this fest for a "mystery set". Besides being a Disc Golf Festival, I feel like Disc jam was particularly special because of it's focus on the arts. If Spafford were to hold a festival, they should definitely focus on drawing in flow artists (fire burners, hoopers, jugglers). I find that the combination of music and all sorts of art worlds make for the most memorable festivals.

I would love a Spafford festival and would totally travel from NY for it. That's pretty much all I could ask for as well - enough Spafford to keep me happy and a nice camping situation! If you build it, we will come! Lol

@YouEnjoyMySpaff Definitely on board with the 2 set a day minimum. Would love the 2 set, 3 set, 2 set set up as well.
I like the idea of a cover set but at the same time I like when Spafford just sprinkles in covers. Their cover selection is really unique compared to what a lot of jam bands do so it'd be interesting to see how they approach a covers only set.

I know it's not what you mean but they did kinda do an all cover set 2016-04-01 for set 1 with the Dead presidents masks on!

I would love to go to a Spafford festival at some point. In terms of what I would like to see musically, I think either a cover set or a set with some horns players would both be really cool.
