NYE is our daughter's 11th birthday so we had early birthday sushi and movies at home. It was the first time my daughter and her friend saw the ball drop... They were not impressed. My wife and I were recovering from two nights of Fruition at the Boulder theater. I like to wish everyone a peaceful, healthy, and loving 2019 that is full of live music!!!

For the second year in a row I got to spend my NYE with Spafford! I grew up here in Tempe, but right now I live in SE Wisconsin, about an hour north of Chicago. I can’t explain how nice the holidays have been with Spafford here to ring in the new year, and to cap off a wonderful holiday vacation with my family, and my nerd friends! I’m looking forward to seeing them again in less than a month now in Milwookie!!!

Happy New Year! Live on the west coast..so Phish webcast, little Panic on the side. And then tuned into Spafford. Really wishing I would have planned my New Years better and drove to AZ to see them. But it was a perfect night relaxing with my family and getting to hear my three favorite bands 😍 May your 2019 be full of Spafford shows and happy times!

@Johnny-Love Damn Dude! Glad to hear the little is okay though!!! I know that feeling. I've had to give both my kids the heimlich maneuver before. Nothing quite as terrifying as watching a child struggle/suffer in front of you!

Not as bad as it sounds though . I work at the Ogden theater in Denver and got to see infamous string dusters for the first time and damn can those boys play . Happy 2019

Wish i could have gotten myself to AZ for the shows though. Listening to NYE of Archives right now and they were KILLING IT!

I spent the 30th down at Van Buren jamming with the boys! Unfortunately, I experienced an allergic reaction to some medicine I recently started taking and spent the 31st in bed feeling crummy. Happy New Years, Nerds! Love you all!

Flew out to PHX from Wisconsin and had a blast. It was a great time and was cool finally meeting a bunch of Nerds. The venue was spectacular…it’s almost comical how rare adequate bathroom accommodations are. Way to go, Van Buren!

As for the performance…AMAZING. I am so grateful for the band and the energy that they bring every time. Excited for Milwaukee at the end of the month for my birthday!

I played Spafford for a room of inebriated people. They seemed to like it and most aren't jam band fans. Streaming show would have been too much for them. Going to listen now myself.

@J.J.-McLean See you on the rail? I'm beyond excited for Spafford in Milwaukee at Turner. I told all my friends to come, but also warned them I'd be on the rail dancing my face off.

Brought in the new year with my wife, our best friends, and the Disco Biscuits as they performed Hot Air Balloon on the 20th anniversary of its debut! It was a spectacular close to an epic 4-night run. Happy new year to all you nerds and can’t wait to see you all out there on tour.

I got 3 friends to all buy 2 nights of Spafford for New Years even though they have never seen a show or heard of them. Least to say they now think they are the biggest Spafford fans now!!!! Ha ha ha! I am adding to our tribe and I want nugs!

What to say about the Spaffy NYE run..... Our home was filed with Love and friends, music and excitement for the shows the night before the run at our Gathering of the Nerds. We had friends stay over the entire weekend, it was perfect happiness in every way. New friends and old, two killer shows. Thank you everyone, what a way to bring in the new year showered with love and joy. The energy, the love, it's how I know that even though this big old universe can throw crap our way that this band, this group of people, always there to heal, comfort and show me what really matters. The highlight for me was that N1 Georgie, Ray, Dan and I left these super meaningful yellow wristbands we were wearing on the stage, kinda like we did last year with FC Bee that Darby made. And on N2 one of those bright yellow wristbands was on Brian's wrist. And then at the end of the show, Brian gave Dan his pick, the look on Brian's face, I hope, was him knowing how much that meant to my dude. I thought NYE last year was top of the tops, this year sure served up that and even more. If we can't choose the destination, we might as well drive. SPAFFY NEW YEAR everyone! love and light.
