Teases. Teases? Teases!

Was just listening to 1/24/17 and heard a "90210 theme song" tease around the 10:45 mark of Leave the Light On

Michael Jackson "Will You Be There?" (Free Willy song) in a Dark Star from the Green Room.
2013 maybe
-
@Randy-Dallas which show?
-
@Randy-Dallas Green Room 2012/2013. They only did Dark Star up there once or twice I think.
-
@Randy-Dallas Probably this:
you can always search for history on songs by using the SpaffBase. For example, history of Spafford's Dark Star's performances can be found here.. Judging by that I'd say it's the 8/3/13 show.

Makisupa tease in the middle of the 5/25/13 LTLO
https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2013-05-25 -
Not sure if I'm going crazy and just really wanna believe this is what Brian is playing, but the last few minutes form the Walls on 10/27/2012 reminds me so much of the Gerudo Valley theme from Zelda
-
Sorry team, I haven't forgotten about all these wonderful Teases.!? I've been knee deep in the Baker's Dozen and am still going to be traveling for the next few weeks. I'll start going through all the teases in a few weeks when I'm back home. Keep posting them!

First post! Take it fwiw totally just a suggestion!
There seems to be a distinction lurking in these posts that I think could clarify things. This is lifted from phish dotnet so not taking credit for it.
When a single member of the band plays another song's melody, it's labelled as a 'tease'. No need for all the others to pick up on it. When everyone hops on and plays the different song it's labelled as a 'quote' and if it continues beyond a few measure a 'jam'.
My thinking is that a ton of teases that are intentional and obvious will be missed if we're only calling it a tease if the whole band plays it.
@RadiantDarkness 3/16/2012.
Midnight Rider has Makisupa tease (by just about everybody) and Hot in Herre vocal tease (I think Brian if I remember right)
-
@AlternateTaco this is a great point and I think we should adopt it.

@AlternateTaco agreed

Funkadelic tease in Bee Jam
I remember hearing this at the show but was a little spunzo'd and couldn't figure out what song Brian was playing. Added to setlist notes. I just put it as "Funkadelic tease" for now

Makisupa tease in the middle of the 5/25/13 LTLO
https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2013-05-25I hear Jordan playing around with it a little, not sure on this one. Would need other people to weigh in.

@SpaPHord Sorry its Electric Taco Stand and its Final Countdown Tease. Same time though. Sry for the wrong song
Added! Good one too. Also, the setlist didn't have the final countdown listed at all after Dis Go in 5. It's a full 45 seconds, so the encore now reads:
Electric Taco Stand > Dis Go In 5? > The Final Countdown > Electric Taco Stand

@radiantdarkness somewhere in the 28-30 minute mark of ETS they launch into Ain't That Wrong on https://spaffnerds.com/shows/2012-04-20. They sing the chorus before ending the (formerly) ETS jam. Not sure if this would be a tease or a > into a < 2 minute Ain't That Wrong.i leave it to the brains, I just like to shake the booty
Well, before we get to the 28m mark, they play Alternate Ending (with a tremendous build) so the setlist now reads, ETS>Alternate Ending>ETS
Ain't That Wrong is there for long enough so it's going to read
ETS>Alternate Ending>ETS>Ain't That Wrong*>On Fire
*Ending
