Great stuff. -
The It's A Bunch from last night is worth consideration.
-
@myanruth I missed it on the stream. Will circle back to listen shortly. Last night was fire.

Ok, this thread needs a bump. There are several suggestions already posted above that need someone to second or cosign in order to get on the list (and if I've missed one that has been agreed on, please let me know). Plus, they've played a whole bunch of new shows since then.
Would love for this thread to turn into a catalogue of every song. Also, there can be as many versions of each song as agreed upon. We're not trying to find the Number 1 version of every song, just create a solid list of outstanding versions of each.
A few I'll throw out there from recently to get this rolling again:
Backdoor Funk 11/16/17
Plans 12/29/17
Thieves 1/11/18
Down Under 1/19/18 -
I'm sure there are many great versions considering it's age but most outstanding Windmill I've heard in the past few tours is Ft. Lauderdale The ~8 minutes between verses is pure bliss. At some points it feels like an Eyes of the World jam. I think Red even hints at Eyes a few times. It has a very strong ending as well.

Since i just got the show, Raleigh 2018-01-26, ETS is just bananas...
More to come fellas -

More to come fellasI liked this version except for the ending. It moved nicely and never seemed to loose momentum. Brian seemed to be playing in a different key than normal so they never got to that more typical huge buildup before dropping back into they lyrics. Still really fun to hear though.

@Wichita-Clem alla this, that show was touched
-
@Lopez idk man. 10/14/17 postman

Alright you crazy nerds. You will notice the original post has received a major update. I have combed through a lot of threads on the forum to get this list going again. I'm going a little crosseyed (but am relatively painless), but I think it is coming around. If you want to add anything, feel free to post it and if someone upvotes your post, I'll add it.
Also, there are quite a few "heavy hitters" that have either no recs or only 1...so all of you experts out there help us out.
-
ETS needs work. I'll listen through some early ones and suggest one.
10/30/15 definitely worthy for it being an atypical jam for ETS. Things got weird.
-
I nominate Memphis and Lonely from Syracuse 1/19/18, Remedy from 3/16/18 should be up there too
-
@Cody I'll second that Remedy. Great stuff. Need to go give 1/19 another listen.
Also, we need some recs on My Road (My Road). It's turned into a great jam vehicle, but there's not one on the list yet. By my count on nugs.net there are only 20 versions to choose from. What are everyone's favorites?
I think the 3/9 Breakdown should be on the list as well, if anyone will second me. In fact, you could make a case for the My Road, Breakdown, and Taco Stand from that show (Backdoor Funk is already on there).
-
@GeorgeBailey definitely go give Syracuse another listen, I can argue that it is just as good as Buffalo the night before (if not better)
-
Really love My Road (My Road) definitely one of my favorites right now
Check out:
Cresant NYE Run This ones definitely deserves an Outstanding note
Echo Session
PawtucketThese three have been my favorites right now. I think everything before the NYE run were pretty "standard" (still really awesome) with the echo session standing out to me mostly for Reds synth solo. The NYE version they find a real nice style for the big jam with Red swirling space while Brian gets a dancey groove going until he finally blasts it through the roof. I think they've kinda kept that same formula for the versions after that with Pawtucket being a really great one even if it is a bit short. I havent dug deep into the Leg 2 versions yet to really rank them ...yet

As should Aeroplane and an argument for People could be made. Also, an extremely gnarly Soil. That shit got WEIRD and i loved it
-
@RadiantDarkness I'll second Aeroplane and People because I just listened to them for the second time and they rock, not at Soil yet but I'm sure I'll agree with that too
-
2/2/13 Ain't that wrong needs to be talked about.
-
I know I'm a noob to the board, so forgive me in advance por favor, but are there any sendspace or mediafire links to these wondrous jams? Thanks!
