Reading some the lyrics to the songs and I'm impressed with several of them, which is not always the case in this genre. Made me wonder who was writing them.
Is it more of a collaborative effort or is one member the main writer?

it's my understanding that the band's homie Chuck (who also does their lighting!) writes poetry that often becomes spafford lyrics! Chuck is also who the band is named after i think! It's his middle name ("Spafford" that is).

I know that Chuck (mentioned above) wrote My Road, Mind's Unchained, Simon & Lily, Slip And Squander. Brian and/or his brother wrote a bunch of the ones that they play as well. Red wrote Beautiful Day. Not sure of any others. I think that Chuck has written more though, those are the ones that I know of for sure though.
