OK, I want to (and most likely will) make a PayPal donation of $5 to help you guys out.
But do consider a few things please. Many people might not be comfortable sending donations directly to YOU Damien. I'm sure you are an honest guy and only care about promoting Spafford and being on the forefront of a cool musical movement.
However, if you want people to donate, perhaps you should set up SPAFFNERDS as an independent entity, separate from yourself. Then use something like Quicken to keep the books, and make those transactions freely available on a quarterly or at least yearly basis online so people can see where their donations are going. (And that you aren't using them for personal expenses).
I was a member for a few years of a Feral Cat Rescue group and doing these things did promote more donations, especially since we were registered as a 501C3 tax exempt organization.
Yes, doing all that requires more work, but can be beneficial to a group in the long run. Just my 2 cents...

We're working on it.
Truly. Our plan is to create a not for profit... stay tuned. We're short on resources but there's good to come. For now, you guys just have to trust me. I can't offer you more than that. If people don't want to make a donation, that's totally okay. Still enter the drawing. You'll still be in the running for a prize. No worries. I totally understand the reservation and/or hesitation. -
