What year was your first Spafford show?

Technically, I saw them in AZ on the last day of 2014. Does that make me Left coast or The heat???
@Frito-Pie HELP!!!!!!!
-
@damian If you saw them play music in 2014, you are a Left coast brah.
-
I could have called 2016 "Tonic Room times." Missed opportunity.

my 1st show was 2/3/2017 at the fillmore in Detroit.. they opened for UM..
me and my nephew both walked out of the show wishing Spafford was the headlining act..
needless to say.. i've been hooked ever since.. -
First show was 11/13/15 @ The Vinyl in Las Vegas. Small crowd but the show was very good. I recently caught the Grand Rapids>Detroit>Detroit run with Umphrey's and I thought the band played better each night. Can't wait to see another full show as the 45 minute opening slots did not allow them to really put it out there.

12/4/15 Glad I could see them at the Lazy Dog once!
-
@jasper93 Las Vegas jamband society show? I was there along with @Night-Train, and it got a little dirty. Oh, Vegas...
-
@Frito-Pie - Yes that was the show. Good times!

I don't remember the date of my first show. I was not at the first NYE show when they officially called themselves Spafford for the first time. I was at the right place, at the right time. Saw Brian when he was a Cheektone. And saw Brian, Jordan (he went by Chris at the time, don't call him that now, though), and Marty play once, maybe twice, prior to them becoming Spafford. At some point, they started playing almost every Wednesday night at Coyote Joe's (in Prescott, AZ) and there would be 3-5 (staff included) people watching. So many Wednesday nights spent in awe of what was going down and knew the rest of the music world needed to hear Spafford. From the beginning, these guys were gracious, hard working musicians. I have always wanted to see them succeed. And I've been patiently waiting for all you nerds to share in the groove!

@windybug TIL that Brian was IN The Cheektones. Far out!
