Great. I didn't realize that was an option. Since nugs only goes back to 2017, I am looking forward to that 2015 / 2016 sound.

Cabin Jams 1 and 2
So I have been mostly listening to Spaff on nugs, and that is pretty great, but someone suggested I check out the Cabin Jams and they are the bomb(s). As a result, I know about their sound could page and have tons of versions of songs to check out.
Are there other little pockets of Spaff I need to know about. Not specific shows, but sources.
Thanks.
Peace out.
Bye.

RE: BRIAN VS. TREY
So I shouldn't comment, because I haven't seen either band in that time period, but the only way I can see Brian beating out Trey is that Brian seams to access more soul than Trey.

RE: Nerd Alert: New Feature!
I personally really enjoyed this. It inspired me to do something similar to my staff at the office.

@harbo That is pretty awesome. that you have a wife in the guys. My wife might go and she'd tolerate it because she is a nice person, but she would not be excited about it.

Keys
One of my personal biases is that I always thought the guitar was over-presented in jam bands. I know this is rock and roll (plus jazz and whatnot). I always think the bass could be a little lounder (especially mid 1.0 Phish) and I have a hard time really loving any band that doesn't have a full time keyboard player.
Right now I am watching Spaff Echo Sessions, and I LOVE Andrew's (sorry, had to look that up) constant contribution with organ, Rhodes, and piano sounds.
Does he ever play an actual piano? Any shows where the keys in particular really shine?

RE: Hello from an Ultra Noob eager to learn
Thanks! This will do nicely!
I have been told that this site isn't as nearly as active as Spaff's FB fan group, but I am not going to use FB, so I will concentrate my efforts here.

PS: This forum interface is pretty sweet. Beats rec.music.phish! You young fans with your new stuff. Hat tip to whoever runs this place.

Hello from an Ultra Noob eager to learn
Hi. I live in Florida. I had the chance to see Spafford in Orlando, but I didn't go, because I hadn't heard much of their music except on Endless Boundaries.
I am a 1.0 Phish fan, that got married and had kids and am getting back in the jam scene again after a long break. I realized the Phish petty much just plats MSG and Dicks and a few other places and even though they are my favorite band ever, I realistically might not ever see them live any more.
So I posted on Phish.net for some names of bands and have been listen to a bunch. But today I really fell for Spafford and I am 100% in. I want a band that is young and has a lot of energy. I want a band willing to take risks. I want a band that tours so I can actually see them live. I want a band that jams but is not too dry or formulaic. I want a band with vocals that are sung from the heart.
I believe have found all that with Spafford.
I don't know the songs, the lingo, the names of the band members. I really don't know anything except that it clicked and I want more. Fortunately, between nugs and Archive and youtube, I have a lot of options.
So I am an empty cup. Fill me up with Spafford love. Comment and say hi and teach me something!!!
