don't think i've seen a thread dedicated to just this tour but man they are on fire. a lot of hype around the detroit rock city america and cleveland reds jam, but i implore you to check out the cleveland hollywood. patient, melodic playing. a beuatiful jam.

just the third (by my count, phx halloween '15 and somewhere in february last year though it wasn't nearly as jammed as the phx and cleveland versions) taboot.

@Cody i got a ups driver in spafford when he walked into my office to drop off a package and that jam was playing. great version.

stumbled upon this interview on a now-defunt blog jambandfriendly.com from october 2011 (remember occupy wall street? holy shit that feels like 30 years ago).

it touches on a lot of interesting early days of spafford stuff. definitely worth the read.

my favorite part:

Chris and I back line a church group amongst the other acts we are involved with. When Nick came to town he went to the church and saw us playing. It was soon after that we were talking to him about needing a drummer. His response was “I play auxiliary percussion”. At the time we didn’t need anything like that, but a week later saw him playing on a full drum set. He was unbelievable and we said “that is not auxiliary percussion buddy”. We went up to him and wanted to know if he would like to join the band and why he didn’t first tell us that he was a skilled drummer. Nick’s response was, “I didn’t think it was really relevant”. After that he was in the band.

pawtucket reds jam is incredible. on my fifth listen already. thought cleveland would be untouchable for at least a little while but nah they had to break out a wicked big one for the paw sawx kid

really fun show up in flag. great start to the night w wes williams band opening and a lot of phoenix area people happy to be out of the heat and the band delivered a great show w a themed second set i was unaware of until well after the show ended.

yes. love it. need it. been drinking it for over half my life at this point.

i get really bad heartburn though so only drink iced coffee as it has 60% less acidity than hot coffee, on top of just liking it more and living in az year round.

i use the japanese iced coffee brewing method which is basically just pour over with a few tweaks.

it is the cleanest tasting home made iced or cold brew coffee i've ever tried, and i've tried just about every product and method out there. very easy to adjust the strength as well.

stuck in the middle with you from 12/31/14 is the best version of that song imho. haven't listened to the whole jam in a long time because i spliced the bliss peak (about 6 mins) into its own track to get right to the good stuff.

@mdjabber i think you're being much more generous than i'd be. i think many are just self indulgent entitled pricks!

@RadiantDarkness might have to revisit all the versions from fall '17 then. that's the kind of homework i like.
