      @Lopez UGH I had to work last minute so gifted my ticket to a friend. Thanks for such a great review of the night so I at least know what I missed! Love the part about finding one of your favorite fan bases, I couldn't agree more!

      @BBlank20 there isn't too much of a story behind it. Back in February Josh and I decided to make a 6 hour drive to Covington, KY for a show. Show was one of the best I've seen from the band but we never got a SBD.

      Same seems to be happening for Ann Arbor, its a spaffiracy I say!

      Great review! Wonder why Brian wasn't playing The Raven for this show...

      @damian that was my fairly inebriated former bandmate lol. He was HILARIOUS all night long. Dryest humor ever.

      Amazing!

      Great review @Cody and @Kyle-Burbank! I love that you experienced the show as friends (and family) and wrote the review as friends. And the story of how the first-ever ETS-less Alternate Ending came into our world put the hugest smile on my face. Way to go helping to make Spaffistory. Your love of the music and of life shines throughand that's what it's all about and what I love about our Spamily. Also, it's gotta feel good that your 2nd set monster jamz is leading in the polls. Get out and vote, Nerds, before the poll closes this Saturday!

      @Johnny-Love
      That was exactly how I felt at this show!! I’d never seen them, and holy shit was it a crazy symbiotic transcendent experience!! I even caught the band after the show and gave them hugs and they were so great! As someone who has traditionally committed most resources to seeing Phish, this kind of stuff is unheard of these days! To me it felt like I imagine the late 80s Hunt’s/Nectar’s shows felt like to those early phans. These guys get it.

      @uconnwes awesome review, man, thanks! I was at this show.. but got there at the very end of VBD, so only caught All In and the encores fully. I'm thrilled that it is finally up on Nugs although it is killing me to have missed all these great songs. That Backdoor Funk is funkin incredible! Venue was definitely cool.. played some Ms. Pacman on my way out. Hope to have a chance to catch them there again.. though next time for the whole friggin thing.

      Wow, what a show. Solid on every track. That All My Friends > Bee Jam > Walls is unusual and beautiful... I feel like Bee Jam and Walls usually come out trying to knock your moustache off your face and here they are softer and more connective tissue than straight muscle. And the encores are just awesome. Loved the You Don't Know How It Feels. I fucking ❤ Fall Tour

      Great review, thanks! I'm stoked to listen to this show. Postman being my jam lately, I guess I'm going to have to start hitting up all Philly shows.

      Thanks for the words and pics to accompany this awesome show.. I haven't listened to 9/22 yet but I'm loving 9/23 .. that must have been incredibly good live 🙂 9/23 is my fave set since the lineup change; they sound so locked in together, doing what they do well and always exploring and growing

      @Cody-Soule thanks for these press clippings ... really cool history! I love this quote from the last article, sums up the whole experience perfectly for me:

      "There's a certain organic excitement that is very attractive to people joining the Spafford community," Smith said. "It's more than just liking the songs they write or liking how well Brian plays guitar. They like how the music makes them feel. They like the inspiration the band brings to their lives. They like that their music motivates them to be creative, unique, and artistic. That's a truly wonderful gift that many bands don't provide."

      True that homie

      Great review. I thought the jam>remedy was a great way to start and the improv felt particularly inspired throughout the set. I felt like Lonely, Postman, and Slip all covered a little bit of new ground. I have to make it one day! Thanks for the review and pics!
